Over the course of a week, you'll stay at Incubator House, jam with the best musicians in D.C., pick your band, then write and perform 3 songs with them at one of our house shows.
Included in the residency
Our residency will keep you busy but also give you plenty of time to rest and explore the city.
Arrive, settle in and get rested before orientation.
Jam with 3 different groups of musicians hand-picked for you. Then choose which you want to perform with.
Start writing and in the evening, enjoy a casual welcome party at the house.
Complete a songwriting activity in the morning. Then take the afternoon off to explore D.C. or recharge at the house.
In the evening, give a workshop to the Incubator community and finish the day with band rehearsal.
Finish the first draft of your 3 songs before testing them out in front of a live at audience at an intimate preview show.
Practice one last time with your band. Then enjoy a complementary dinner out on the town with everyone performing in the show.
