A Community is More Powerful than a Business
Incubator
Businesses are little dictatorships. Sometimes big dictatorships.
It’s a top down structure where the bosses decide who does what, when they do it, how they do it, who gets to the join and who gets to stay.
Needless to say, that’s not the best way to run an organization.
It’s intended to be a community of equals who make decisions democratically.
A community run by committees of its members.
A community where all power is temporary.
It’s a community where each member owns an equal share.
In a business, there are two groups of people: the ownership class and working class. Their interests are opposed.
They want the opposite things.
An organization where leadership and the workforce is at odds is not the most efficient way to get anything done.
At Incubator, the workforce and ownership class is the same.
It’s a community. A community that works together and enjoys the resulting prosperity.
An activated, organized community is more powerful than a business.
